Florida DUI Penalties – Miami Drunk Driving Attorney

Florida law defines penalties for the first, second, third, and fourth DUI convictions. Any subsequent convictions are penalized the same as the fourth violation under the law. First, second, and third DUI violations can also be enhanced if they happened within a specific time period, the BAC is above 0.15, or if a minor is in the vehicle at the time of arrest. The penalties for DUI are harsh even for a first time offender, and the punishments only increase with successive DUIs. Penalties for DUI convictions in Florida include fines, community service, imprisonment, license revocation, probation, vehicle impoundment, installation of ignition interlock devices, DUI School, and more.
